Whale Report

During our return trip from a 5-day Channel Islands Adventure Marine Program (CIAMP) we came across a number of Blue Whales feeding about 6 miles North of Santa Cruz Island. As we approached, we realized we were surrounded by Blue Whales on all sides. We spent the next hour in awe of these incredible creatures as they tail fluked, lunged, and fed all around us.

It was an incredible experience for everyone onboard and marks the beginning of what looks to be a great Blue and Humpback whale season!
